Ingrid & Herman - a wedding with history

I’ve been away for quite some time and yet still here, in my creative corner, preparing my second website (High Emotion Weddings, dedicated exclusively to my wedding planning services) and working on many exciting and enchanting projects.

Today, I’m showing you some details of Ingrid & Herman’s wedding – a charming couple, whom I was very proud to accompany through the whole planning, organization and decoration process for their wedding in Burgenland on June 14, 2014.

I am very fond of this wedding, since it came up with many challenges (like the location closing up two months before one of the most wanted wedding dates of 2014 blush), it marked the beginning of a friendship (heartAngela and Babsy) and… it was one day before my own first wedding anniversary smiley Which means… my husband and I celebrated on the next day by collecting my decoration items from the wedding venue smiley

First of all, many thanks to Angela Lindner from Wedding Angel - die hochzeitsagentur and Eventplanerin Barbara Pachner-Zinnauer for the wonderful collaboration and the Union of Professional Austrian Wedding Planners (VaöHP) for making so many beautiful collaborations possible.

Ingrid and Herman chose to express their uniqueness by having an own logo, stamp and flags designed especially for their big day. The groom’s grandparents had participated in the Marienthal study, so a part of the photo shooting took place there and a special corner of the wedding venue was dedicated to this topic. The wedding theme was the calla lily and I used a delicate combination of crème-white, yellow and peach coloured flowers in my decoration concept.

The religious ceremony took place in the basilica Maria Loretto - a wonderful service accompanied by the powerful voice of the bride’s cousins. Ingrid wore a wonderful Pronovias dress made of satin and lace, from Brautsalon Flossmann.

Yep, that's me in action smiley

I decorated the pews with delicate organza and satin bows and crème, peach and yellow roses.

The guests formed a “guard of honor” to go along with the newlyweds to the restaurant Graf, on the other side of the beautiful quiet park of Loretto, for some refreshments and snacks.

One of the flags was meant to become one of the nicest memories of this wonderful day: all guests signed and wrote their wishes on it. Of course, the youngest ones were most thrilled smiley After the reception at Gasthof Graf, it was hung at Gasthof Muhr to "receive" the guests as they arrived for the party. It was of course a very impressive and imposing symbol admired by many who came to the restaurant to have lunch the next day.

While Ingrid and Herman were having their photo session, we went on to the next location: Landgasthof Muhr in Gallbrunn, to make sure that everything is ready for the party.

We had decorated the venue the day before with tall vases with calla lilies and floating candles, roses and pearls and tied 80 yellow bows on the chair backs.

Besides the delicious wedding menu and an entertaining program, the guests also received the traditional almond wedding favors which I prepared carefully by providing each sachet with tags containing quotes about love and the Marienthal survey.
